Custom fitting is already paying off

Using the studio over the past few months we have been able to offer the best fitting possible. Nowhere else in the area can offer the range of clubs and the fitting systems we have at Kidderminster.

Last week's winter league saw all 3 division winners having custom fittings with myself over the past few months. It just shows the saying a bad workman always blames his tools is very incorrect in golf. Making sure you have the right shafts, grips, lie angles makes a massive difference in your game.

Division 1 - John Dallaway - Mizuno irons and Titleist woods. 
Division 2 - Tim Down - Mizuno driver 
Division 3 - Paul Nunn - Titleist AP2 irons

Gap testing and know your yardages

In the past couple of weeks we have started to offer gap testing. In gap testing we give you every yardage both carry and roll on all the clubs in your bag, this is then written on a personalised bag tag to hang from your bag so you can easily refer to this when choosing which club to use. Take the guess work out of the game and know exactly how far the ball goes. Mark Baker had a gap fitting session last week. 

 

B' Team 2016 - New Courses, New Captain

The 'B' Team is a long standing tradition at the golf club and this year's captain is Stuart Fellows, with John Drew as vice-captain. 'B' Team golf is all about the social side of the game, and whilst the matches are competitive, the aim is to enjoy a round of golf, make some new friends and enjoy a good dinner and possibly the odd drink or two after the match. Matches are played home and away and the clubs we have arranged for 2016 are excellent, including Sandwell GC & Handsworth GC, old favourites in Stourbridge GC and Worcester GCC and new venues in South Staffs GC and Droitwich GC. For those of you who have not played in a team match for the club this is the ideal opportunity to come and join in. There is no restriction on handicap and Stuart is keen to ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity to enjoy themselves in team golf. The 'B' team season kicks off on Sunday 6th March with a social shotgun start at 10-00am to which everyone is welcome and keep an eye out for match details on the 'B' team notice board for future matches.

Wyre Frest fellowship use the studio

Last week the golf club hosted the Wyre Forest fellowship group. Organised by Paul Copsey, the group used the swing studio for 2 hours and then had a meal afterwards. We had a great night with the group of 16 men, we had some wonderful feedback from the group. Please see email below from Paul:

Just to say thanks for putting on such a superb night last night.

As you had anticipated we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it says quite a lot that even the non-golfers amongst us stayed upstairs in the Swing Studio all evening instead of going down to the bar or playing snooker as I thought they might.

Your repartee and banter with everyone just added to the enjoyment. Afterwards we all enjoyed an excellent meal. Once again many thanks. Paul

We have 40 grips to give away. We are offering a free grip fitted on to your favourite iron. Please come in the shop and see what grips we have for free and see if you can tell the difference between the new grips and your old grips.

What's the pro shop staff up to this week?

This week we have half term coaching for all the  juniors and every junior that's in the academy. I'm very busy teaching and fitting. My dad is busy with the trolleys and Ethan continues to work well at weekends.
