It's not always your golf swing when things go wrong. When your game goes wrong and you stop hitting the ball well you will think it's your swing that's changed, in many ways your right but what you have you to ask yourself is why has your swing suddenly changed.
Posture
One of the biggest reason for swinging poorly is down to posture. Posture is extremely hard to get correct because as a coach teaching posture your constantly fighting peoples natural posture and also depending what they do for a living can make a massive difference to the way they stand to the ball. If your round shouldered this will make it extremely hard to make a proper shoulder turn, reducing club head speed and making your swing to upright. This will result in shorter shots, toe end strikes and hitting the ball fat.
Poor posture (right hander) resulting in bad swings and strikes.
Good posture (left hander) resulting in good shoulder turn, better clubhead speed, better strikes and more distance and accuracy.
Product training for the new Vockey wedges
On Tuesday I met with the titleist rep to run through the new Vockey SM6 range of wedges. The wedges are the best I've seen. They have completely re modelled the wedges and the performance is amazing. At Kidderminster we will be a Vockey fitting centre, we will have every wedge in loft, bounce and grind for you to try.
Do you have a gap in your bag?
The perfect gap between each wedge is 15 yards. With pitching wedges in modern sets being between 44 to 46 degrees and a standard sand wedge being 56 degrees there leaves a 10 degree gap. The rest of your irons will have a average loft gap of 4 degrees. Wedges are the most used clubs in your bag so it's vital to have the perfect gaps.
Book your free wedge gap testing session and see if you have a gap in your bag. I've been lucky enough to be selected as a titleist staff player this year. I have been fitted for all new clubs along with ball, gloves, bag and much more.

Noel continues to be very busy both shop and teaching, my Dad has been steady on the trolley front and Ethan has been excellent as usual.
