Kidderminster stands out at county meeting

On Tuesday night I attended a county meeting along with my Dad, Noel, and a few of the ladies from the golf club. The meeting was to get all the clubs together to talk about our experiences of the past year and maybe pick up a few tips and useful advice along the way. We all had a 4 speakers on the night which were very interesting to listen to.

We had the PGA talking over what the professional can do for the club and how the pro helps the club in terms of revenue. Did you know that 100% of members who receive regular coaching stay members of the club, 45% off members say the professional is their first point of call. A few more very useful pieces of information came from the PGA.

We also had a person talking about digital marketing and social media with over 50% now using a smart phone it's important to make sure golf club websites have the access to allow smart phones and he also talked about databases. The 59 club and the golf foundation made up the other speakers.

A week before I had a call from Mark Laing asking if I could demonstrate what we have done at Kidderminster in the past year to other clubs as we have been very successful in the last year.

We have gained now 60 new members since the start of last year and we are still interviewing now. We did; get in to golf, girl can do, school coaching, tri golf festivals, junior camps, clinics, free morning sessions and ladies coaching.

All these schemes have paid off with Kidderminster moving forward and also making us more user friendly and welcoming has made a big difference.

We are still running the membership incentive scheme so if you have friend who is interested if he/she joins you will receive a credit on your club card.
