PING day went with a bang
On Wednesday we held a PING fitting day on the main practice ground. We had a great day with 12 members taking advantage of the free afternoon. The sun shone for a while and even when the showers came it didn't stop us fitting and having great fun.
We saw members gain 27 yards with a new driver fitted with the correct shaft and loft. We saw members hit more consistent shots once the lie angle and shaft length were correct for them.
The hardest thing in getting people to have a custom fit is they don't think they are good enough to have a fitting, the reason for the fitting is to get a set of clubs suited to the way you swing and not a factory set that are sitting on a shelf that could be completely wrong for them.
Think twice before changing your club and get measured and fitted.
More fitting days to come next week
At Kidderminster not only do we offer fittings all though out the year in the studio but we also have manufactures fitting days coming to the club. No where else in the area can offer the same service as Kidderminster.

Euro pro for Arron
A few weeks ago I mentioned that I have been teaching Arron Wright for around 5 years now and managed to get him down from 3 to +2 as a amateur. Arron turned professional at the start of the year and went to Frilford Heath to qualify for the Euro Pro Tour, Arron lead going into the last round, although he never won he did qualify for a full year on the Euro Pro Tour.
Arron is a exciting player and one to watch in the future. On Tuesday we fitted Arron up with new wedges and a driving iron. His wedge gaping how is perfect. Watch out Euro Pro.

Lads hard at work
After our problems with the trees at the back of the 1st green, some blowing over in the winds and then somebody setting fire to the others two weeks ago, the trees have now been removed and the new turf arrived this week and the greenstaff have been hard at working returfing the area to make it playable in the summer.
I'm sure your all agree how good this now looks.
Communication is the key to business
I would like to think that at Kidderminster pro shop we pride ourselves on customer service and communication. In the modern era there has never been easier ways to communicated to your members and customer. We can email, text, phone, tweet, facebook, messenger, Instagram, what's app and many more ways.
Luckily you can contact the pro shop on all the above.

What's the pro shop staff up to this week?
I'm running the tri golf festival at the golf club Friday so we will have over 100 kids in the event. I'm also still very busy coaching. Noel is away next week playing and continues to be very busy teaching and working in the shop.
James has settled in really well and I'm sure you have all been impressed with him. Ethan is now on the road after passing his test and continues to be excellent in the shop. My dad is busy with the trolley repairs if he can get to them with all the cardboard in the shop.
