Refreshed and raring to go!
As I'm sure you're aware, I've been away for the last week on a family holiday with friends to Tenerife.
The weather was blistering hot, peaking at 44 degrees the one day but averaging around 37/38 degrees most of the week. I've had a great week with the family which is nice because when I'm back home I really don't have a second so it nice to have 24 hours a day with them.
We went away with friends and we have had a blast and I'm now ready to start again.
Take a look at the view from where I'm writing my newsletter.
What do you think?
Abama golf course worth trying.
I still managed to get a game in whilst I was away. Me and Paul played Abama golf resort, it's been ranked the best in Tenerife and one of the best courses in Spain, it's easy to see as the course layout was amazing.
The condition was very good, the greens were a little slow but with the very hot temperatures they couldn't cut them short.
Both Paul and myself had a great game and throughly enjoyed the course and the challenge.
Mark and Jacob come out on top
Congratulation go to Mark Dudley and Jacob Hare for winning the club championships.
Mark won the Eric Knight trophy which is the best gross with a score of 148. Josh Thorpe finished second with 150 and Luke Rogers finished 3rd with 152.
Jacob won the Junior cup which is best gross for division 2 and 3. Jacob scored an impressive 161 with Kevin Woodham behind him at 168 and Mark James and Mick Dyer in 3rd at 169.
Well done to everyone who entered and congratulations to all those who made the cut and to the winners.
Pin Positions: You may well have noticed that, due to popular demand, the pin position colours have been altered to the following
Red - front
Yellow - middle
White - back

We hold the Vivian Moore Bowl and the Jubilee Salver
Congratulations to the A Team who, in their quest for league honours, travelled to Evesham Golf Club at the weekend and recorded a very impressive 5 - 1 victory.
Next up is another away match at The Worcestershire.
As Presidents day was scheduled for the 27th August which is the Bank Holiday weekend, it has now been rescheduled for a later date the 15 October 2016. The day is open to ALL members and I look forward a fun day with good golf and plenty of prizes.
Also by then the weather will hopefully improve and give us a hot sunny day as last year.
TaylorMade has a silly offer
At the moment TaylorMade are offering. Buy any tour preferred ball at £39.99 and get a baseball cap worth £19.99 free.
A great time to take advantage and also to use the ball that is played by Dustin Johnston and Justin Rose.

What's the staff up to this week?
I return back to work on Wednesday after my holiday, I'm away playing Copt Heath on Thursday afternoon and the rest of the time I'll be busy teaching and getting back in the swing of things.
Noel, my dad and James have been in my absence and done a great job as always and Ethan has been working extremely hard over the weekends in between his studies.
Have a great week.
