Who's your money on??? 

It's Ryder Cup week. Finally. It has been two long years since we've seen the best team event in the sport and another four since we've seen it on United States soil. 

At long last 24 of the best golfers on the planet take sides and tee it up against one another. That's 12 for the U.S. and 12 for Europe going after a trophy that has only been held by the Americans one time this century. Let's take a look at the teams for this week, starting with the Americans.

   

Form

It would seem like the U.S. has the advantage here when it comes strictly to the 12 golfers who will play the event. 

Europe has six players who have never taken a single stroke in the Ryder Cup. 

And yet, if you're rooting for the Americans, there is plenty to be concerned about. 

Take a look at this chart to see who's on form from there last event scores.

Fingers crossed we retain the trophy. 

I do feel we have our worked cut out but I think it will be extremely close. 

There will be sandwiches, baguettes and rolls available from the bar. The bar will be open while there are members watching the golf.

RIP The King

Writing newsletters weekly about golf and what goes on it seems very wrong of me if I didn't mention the passing of Arnold Palmer. 

Palmer, one of golf's greatest players whose immense popularity drew a legion of fans known as "Arnie's Army" and helped propel the game just as television was coming of age, died on Sunday. 

I don't think the game would be the same today if it wasn't for Arnold Palmer.
