Always learning and improving
On Tuesday I attended the foremost spring workshop along with Noel, unfortunately James couldn't make it as he was ill.
The spring work shop goes through many different aspects of the game and helping us promote our business and also how we can help push our golf clubs forward.
So what have I learnt this year?
1. How to look after my customers all the time.
2. Offer the best customer service and experience that is possible.
3. Data capture to help promote more shop sales and membership opportunities
4. New retail and coaching programmes
We are also about to purchase a new till system which will help catch data, we also help with what to stock and what not to stock. The new till will also print off many different reports so we can monitor every single category in the shop helping with stock rotation and to make sure the business is working as smooth as possible. The new till will be fitted by the end of March all being well.

Anna is in the swing of things
Having worked closely with Anna Rock now for a few years but this winter we have worked extreme hard making some quite big changes but I do feel Anna is starting to swing at her very best.
Posture and set up
We haven't said much about Anna's posture and set up. Anna generally stands to the ball very well.
Backswing
What we have done this winter is to have stopped the club going back on the inside, we also have got the club set in a better position and create more wrist hinge at the top of the backswing to help create a better angle and strike.
Downswing
With the backswing in much better positions its inevitable that the downswing is much better, we always look for the shaft going through the right forearm on the downswing and then a good impact position follows.

Schools are all set up
We have finally managed to book all the schools in for junior coaching. The coaching will take place at the schools using Tri Golf, this is plastic clubs and sponge balls. We set up different games and have lots of fun, the idea is to then push them into our weekend academy sessions and then hopefully on to membership from there.
Each pupil in all the schools will have one of our flyers to promote all the golf through the club.
We also have camps going on throughout every school holiday. If your interested in dates and times please collect a flyer from the shop. Check the school camp dates in the attached image.
What's new to the shop this week?
Deliveries are coming in thick and fast now. Always pop in for a chat and a coffee and see what's happening. This week we have taken delivery of the new PING collections and all available for custom fitting in the studio. Remember we can match prices!

What's the pro shop staff up to this week?
This week is extremely busy coaching, with me having Tuesday off for the foremost workshop it's catch up time for lessons for the rest of the week.
Noel has a junior camp Wednesday and is also busy coaching and getting used to his new clubs.
James is nearly finished his first year with first4skills and we will look at what options are available for him in the next few weeks.
Bill is busy repairing trolleys again, it's been very quite this winter due to trolley bans and trolleys been made better these days.
Ethan returns to work at weekends after his week at university and continues to help run the comps and is a great help.
