Another fully booked successful open.

On Saturday we hosted our Annual Am-Am tournament. 44 teams entered the event. A full book field teed off from 7.30 right the way through until just before 3pm. The weather was amazing and the sun shone all day. The course was immaculate and the feed back from everyone that entered was brilliant.

A wonderful score of 20 under came in right at the end of the day from Stuart Fellows, Simon Parkes, Al McBeth and Richard West. A wonderful scored helped by Simon only dropping 5 shots from a handicap of 16. Pete Clissett's team led all day and got pipped right at the end but well played and I'm sure 19 under would have won any other day.

Congratulations to all the winners and we look forward to seeing you next year for the 2018 men's Am - Am.

Shop news

The shoe wall is back.

We have now taken our second drop of shoes and we have around 140 pairs of shoes in stock.

We have all widths and soft spikes and dimples in stock for both men and ladies.

The shoe wall works very easily. It's a help yourself system. All the shoes are in size order and all the shoes are on the wall so if we are busy at any point, take a seat and help yourself to any pair of shoes and try them on.

For anybody who buys a pair of shoes from the shoe wall in the next 2 weeks receive a free pair of FootJoy shoes worth £12.

The new ball stand is working well.

With the new ball stands in the shop we have increased ball sales for the past month by keeping all the balls in one area of the shop and having multi buy offers for dozens and double dozens. If you running short on balls think Kidderminster golf club.

Club news

72 holes for charity.

4 lads played on Wednesday (longest and hottest day of the year).

They played 2 rounds with us and then they headed over the Bewdley Pines for the last 2 rounds.

They were raising money for Macmillan so well done, a great charity so well worth the effort and pain.

We are now selling our quite times

During the summer months the club is trialling a system where we sell cheaper tee times on our quite times.

Tuesday and Thursday afternoon for a certain amount of time you can get a green fee for as little as £15 per person.

What's the pro shop staff up to.

This week has been slightly quite and I think that's down to the weather. I'm away Thursday playing at South Staffs in Kevin Oconner's golf day, i will also be playing Friday afternoon as well as a busy teaching diary so it's all go.

We have captains weekend this weekend as well so a busy time. Noel, James and Ethan continue to do a great job and my dad is busy with trolley repairs and is away next week back down Cornwall. Have a good week.
