Most golfers looking at a ball fitting would look at which ball goes the furthest and that would be it. Like I said earlier, all depends on what you want out of a ball? If it’s distance you want DT tru soft is definitely the way forward. It’s the softest ball in the Titleist range. As you can see, for me, DT tru soft was 9 yards longer than any other ball. If it’s flight you need, if you struggle to get the ball in the air then it’s either velocity or DT tru soft which launched higher than any other ball. If it’s ball speed you need then Tour S and DT tru soft will help give you that. With up to 3 mph more speed than other balls. For me personally it’s down to spin. I generally hit the ball fairly straight, distance can be increased through practice but when I hit a ball I like to know it will stop, especially in the summer. As you can see the ball the produces the most spin is the Pro V1 ball. So that would be my choice but it all depends on what you want out of a golf ball. It’s very personal.
