Luke and Andy produce the goods Last weekend we hosted our Club Championship gross competitions. The Eric Knight trophy is for the best gross for handicaps up to 10 handicap and then we have the Junior Cup which is for handicaps 11 to 28. The course played extremely tricky with the ground being so dry. The green are running nice and true and are receptive to a well struck shot using the correct ball. Luke Rogers won our Eric Knight trophy with a amazing knock of 138 (-6) scores of 70 and 68 were brilliant and blew the field away. Chris Botteril was second and then Matt from the shop was third. Luke's knock has to be the lowest score winning the club championships in the history I would think. If you know of a lower score please let me know. Andy Cavendish was victorious in the Junior cup with a very impressive 162, two scores of 81. Two very impressive knocks and a very worthy champion. Dan Bentley finished second. Well done to all that have been involved in the club championships.Great golf. |
