Kevin hits a 63 after signing to pro plan

Congratulations to Kevin O'Conner for shooting a nett 63 to win the medal last weekend. Kevin signed up for pro plan 3 months ago and we have been working on many different aspects to help him improve his game. We have given a pre shot routine, a swing thought and a routine after he has hit the ball, this has already started to work with a marvelous 63 last weekend. Well-done Kevin.

What is pro plan?

Pro plan is something that I have been running now for 3 years. It's a great way for you to improve.

Its £20 per month and for this you get the following

½ hour lesson
10% off all purchases in the shop
Clubs cleaned after every round
20% off additional lesson booked within that month.

This scheme is flexible so if you can't make certain months you can always roll the lessons on to the following months.

Jacks on the way down

Its all smiles this week from Jack who's now been working in the shop for just over 6 weeks. The smiles are coming from him getting his handicap cut to 7. When he started in the shop his handicap was 11.2, its now 7.0. Well done Jack and keep up the good work.

The under 6s are going from strength to strength

I have been running the academy now since March. I teach the under 6s whilst Noel takes the more experienced children. This has to be the most rewarding hour of week; it also has to be the hardest hour trying to teach 5 and 6 year olds. We are having great successes and all being well the golf club will reap the rewards in the future for these stars. The Patrick Smith Golf Academy golf day, Thursday, 9 October

This year I have decided to run my own golf day for the members and people who have lesson through the academy. I really would like this day to be a success and have secured sponsorship for great prizes and I think this will be great day.

The day will consist of the following (tee times from 9.30am) 
Bacon bap, coffee and a goody bag on arrival
18 holes of golf (4 ball alliance) 
Meal afterwards
Coaching pack for everybody including lesson offers and shop offers
Prize giving.

£20 per member and £35 per non-member.

What's the pro shop staff up to this week?

This week we have started to slow down with teaching. Still fairly busy but not as mad as it has been all summer. Noel is still busy teaching. Jack has just enrolled in his level 1 PGA coaching badge that he should be doing at the end of the month. My Dad remains busy repairing the trolleys.
