Planning for 2019
It seems crazy with Christmas just around the corner, but we are already planning for 2019 with new initiatives and exciting new stock and concepts that should help create an amazing customer experience and to help produce the best customer service we can offer.
I attended our regional conference last week where we talk about how the business has gone this year, what the general trends are between on course pro shop to online and high street stores. It’s great to compare your business, find out where you are excelling and find out where you need to improve, businesses can’t stand still, we need to keep moving forward, listen to your customers and implement changes to keep striving to make the most of the situation you are in.

What to expect from 2019...
New online lesson booking system where we will link the studio along with all fitting and demo days. Booking a lesson, fitting, studio session or anything else you require will be much easier.
New till system to help create a better database, to make the business run better and to help staff when stock taking. All the databases will be linked to my newsletter and all databases are covered by GDPR.
New stock and also new point of sale throughout, the shop will look fresh and very professional, a shop you can be proud of.
If you feel the shop is missing something or we can do better please come into the shop and let us know, your feedback is vital!

The course keeps moving forward
The lads are working extremely hard on getting the course ready for the winter as well as making changes ready for next season. The leaves are always an issue but they work nonstop in collecting them but as you can see in the trees, they are still fully loaded so we will continue to clear them up on a daily basis. The greens have had an application of fungicide sprayed this week, please wash your hands after playing. |
A really nice touch by the golf club this year with the 18th Flag having a poppy on it. |
Getting ready for next season
If you’re looking to improve your game now’s the time to make the changes! It’s easier making the changes now so we have time to practice and so we can get ready for next season. James Cronin has made a big change over the past week. He’s a 6ft 5 inch lad and swung the club flat making hard to create the correct angle of attack. We’ve made James much more upright and although it feels strange now, if he keeps the swing lines the same he will get better and better.

It's time to stop putting it off - Christmas is getting closer and closer, so you need to consider what will be going under the tree later this year. We're not just talking about the presents that you buy for loved ones and friends, but also what you want to be unwrapping come December 25th. |
| Garmin Approach S10 | A golfer who is not utilising the immense help that a GPS device provides is putting themselves at a major disadvantage over their playing partners. Knowing how far you have to the green (front, middle and back) as well as hazards is vital to hitting your next shot with confidence, which you can get from the Approach S10. |
| Garmin Approach S60 | If, however, you want a little bit more style and information from your GPS then we'd suggest Garmin's Approach S60. The choice of straps means you can choose one to suit your lifestyle off the course, whilst its full-colour maps and touchscreen face eliminates any guesswork during your round. |
