Remember when playing golf, it’s not always the way you swing the club. The swing has many factors and reasons for why it gets in the positions it does, and most of these are down to posture and flexibility. I understand that many people these days can’t get the club back into positions they would like due to lack of flexibility but what nearly all of us can do is to stand the ball correctly. If your posture is good this will help create a better swing, and will also help create relaxation and freedom - everything that is needed to be a better golfer. What do I look for and what do see when it comes to posture? Many postures these days have round shoulders which is down to work, driving and also our daily lives creating bad postures through laziness without us really knowing. For good posture, I always look for a good straight back, the backside sticking out slightly, knees flexed and the weight of your body in the balls of your feet. Take a look at a posture change I made on Saturday, the difference was incredible in the way he was swinging it towards the end, without actually mentioning much about the swing.
