I’ve got an invite
As most of you know, I’m a staff ambassador for Titleist and have played their clubs now for many years.
The launch of the new TS iron will be coming in October but I have been invited to the JCB Club on the 31st July where I will be fitted for the new iron, have a tour and a look at the facility and then play the course in the afternoon.
What a great opportunity to play this course as it’s invite only and extremely exclusive. I should blend in well then.

Another great FTBA
This year’s FTBA golf society proved to be extremely successful yet again with the two days raising over £18,000 for Macmillan, Emily foundation, Forest Dogs and the carpet museum.
What a wonderful achievement and defiantly worth wild for Sean and all his organising.

Loads of golf next week for me…
My golf is like a bus service, I wait for one to come and then loads arrive together.
Next week I’m playing Monday at Little Aston, Tuesday at Kidderminster, Thursday at Enville, Friday at Blackwell and Kidderminster on Saturday. I’m really looking forward to a great week of playing - Let’s hope the weather holds up.

Only a week to go…
We are only a week away from The Open Championship at Royal Portrush. This is the first time since 1951 that The Open has been held here. The course looks amazing and a true test for any golfer. Like all links courses their biggest defensive is the weather and if the wind doesn’t blow and the rain doesn’t fall I feel you might see quite low scoring.
Who is your money on? We can all look at the favourites but for me take a look at the outsiders and maybe you might be on to a winner. Pat’s tips are as follows.
Jason Day at 40-1 is a great bet - A major winner, former world number 1. He might surprise a few next week.
Tony Finau 60-1 - Again another great bet.
Matthew Fitzpatrick. I feel this lad has the game to win an Open Championship.
