I hope you were watching...

I hope you witnessed the victory for the Ladies in the Solheim cup on Sunday at Gleneagles. It has to be some of the best golf I’ve seen on television for many a year. It was a proper roller coaster afternoon with Europe needing 14 1/2 points to win the cup and the Americans needing 14 to retain the trophy. The Americans got to 13 1/2 points with two matches left on the course which Europe were down in one and all square in the other with only 4 holes to go but the girls managed to turn the games around and a wonderful put on the last by Suzann Pettersen from 5 foot won the trophy for Europe. Wonderful for Ladies golf, European golf and a great way to help promote the game.

Well done girls… amazing!

Competition news

Rob and Cav are top of the tree

Congratulations to Kidderminster’s own Rob Hart and Andy Cavendish for winning the autumn pairs open with a score off 44 points. They beat Simon Parkes and John Hyde, John and Jim Parsons, Phil Green and Adam Duquette and Tim Down and John Hall by 1 point so a very close open.

Well done to all involved and thanks for your support as always.

Get into golf is back

Do you want to join my Academy membership? This membership is design for somebody who would like to join the club but isn’t quite sure yet. We offer an academy membership where you will get regular coaching sessions and access to the golf course and the practice ground at certain times along with group and individual coaching session.
