Keep your posture up during this winter
It's so easy this time of year for you to stand to the ball incorrectly. You have sweaters and waterproof jackets on that restrict your posture positions but keep concentrating on making sure you stand correct. Remember the posture is vital to your golf game. It dictates how we swing the club.
Please see below (left) a poor posture. Round shoulders and low hands. This posture position would make it almost impossible for Kevin to create a shoulder turn and to make a good backswing.
So during the lesson we got Kevin to get his hands higher and then to create a better spinal angle as he stood to the ball (see right). This will help with rotation and helping Kevin to get the club in a much better position on the backswing.
Our Ladies are helping this Christmas
Having walked past a table on Tuesday in the clubhouse I noticed many fantastic books and presents, I ask what this was all for and all the ladies had pulled together and donated items for the salvation army to hand to locally deprived children. A big thank you must go to Wendy, the ladies committee and all the ladies that have donated presents for children less fortunate than ourselves.

Personalised golf balls a success
A big thank you for everyone who has ordered golf balls with a personal message this Christmas. We have managed to sell just under 40 dozen which is up on last year so thanks for all your support.
So what is the Pro Shop staff up to this week?
This week we have gone quiet on lessons as the winter starts bearing its teeth. I will be taking Noel and Jack out Saturday afternoon for a bite to eat to say thank you for all there hard work this year. This week I have my daughters' nativity play on Thursday and then her Carol Concert on Friday in Church. We are also off to see Santa at the Granary with my Mum and Dad and Brother and his kids on Sunday so full packed week.
