Ladies captains day at home a great success
The theme for the above was a Pink Day and once again the ladies rose to the occasion. They all entered into the spirit of the day with enthusiasm and one person even dyed their hair pink. Weather not too good but the rain was light and the ladies teed off on the mound in front of the Club house which proved to be very interesting. The competition was free and I asked if they wished to make a donation to my charity Kemp. We raised £57.50. The ladies were very generous.
A dinner was held in the evening and 54 ladies attended. The new chef Darren produced excellent food. We presented 2 trophies that evening together with prizes for the winners on the day.
Our major trophy The Club Championship played over 36 holes was won by Karen Greenfield who beat Sarah Nicklin by one shot. Karen had two eagles in her second round. One on the first and one on the eighteenth. The Jean Field Spoons played over 18 holes was won by Sandra Hinton for the third year running. A good evening was had by all.
