Mark wins the Club Championship
Last weekend we hosted our men's Club Championships. The men were playing for two trophies. One trophy is the Eric Knight trophy which is for handicaps 10 and below and the other trophy is the junior cup which is handicaps 11 upwards all gross scores. We have a cut after Saturdays scores and the top 16 in each trophy then qualify for the Sunday to battle it out. We had 131 entries on Saturday and in dreadful conditions on Sunday we eventually got our winners. A big congratulations to Jacob Hare for winning the junior cup and Mark Dudley for winning our Eric Knight trophy, mark shot 71 second round which is a great score considering the weather. Well done to all that entered and well done to the winners. See below left Mark Dudley with the President and the Eric Knight trophy and below right Jacob Hare with the President and the junior cup.
Ethan at Woburn
On Monday Ethan went down to Woburn and played in the Ian Poulter golf day. He had a great day playing the marques course. He played very well and got a really nice goody bag along with a photo with the man himself. Well done to Ethan for getting a chance to play in the day.
A fixture not to be missed
We have the Presidents' Day coming up on the 29th of August. This is open to all categories of member. The sheet will be in the lounge in the next few days. It will be a great day with all proceeds going to St Richards hospice.
Dominant Ian wins the bag
Congratulations to Ian Giddins for winning the open bag.
What's the pro shop up to this week?
This week I'm away Friday playing the Captains day out at Ladbrook Park. We start the junior summer camps on Wednesday with 18 children coming for the morning. I have a very busy weekend but quieter next week so if anybody is interested in booking a lesson then now is the time (Click here to book). Noel is busy as normal and Ethan has started extremely well. My dad is busy with the trolley repairs.
